At Mirae, Attorney Sungkyun Kim focuses on business and commercial litigation.
Before joining Mirae Law, he gained extensive experience as a litigation associate at Schmeiser Olsen & Watts, an intellectual property law firm. There, he worked on a variety of intellectual property matters, including trademark infringement cases, enforcement litigation, trademark prosecution, and IP transactions. He also gained practical experience in immigration law at a Manhattan-based firm, achieving excellent results.
Attorney Kim is a graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in Manhattan. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Gerald Lebovits of the New York State Supreme Court for about a year, where he drafted over ten judicial decisions, several of which were published on Westlaw and LexisNexis. He also served as an Articles Editor on the editorial board of the Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal, an honors journal at Cardozo.
In his personal time, Attorney Kim enjoys reading books and listening to classical music. He resides in New Jersey with his lovely wife and adorable son.

미래에 합류하기 전, 김 변호사는 지적재산권법 로펌인 Schemiser Olsen & Watts 에서 소송 담당 소속 변호사로 근무 하면서 상표권 침해 및 집행 소송, 이의신청(opposition)을 포함한 상표권 심사, 지식재산권 관련 계약서 등 지식재산권 법률의 다양한 분야를 경험했습니다. 또한, 맨하탄의 한 로펌에서 이민법의 실무를 경험하였으며 훌륭한 성과를 보였습니다.
김 변호사는 맨하탄에 있는 유대인 학교인 Benjamin N. Cardozo 로스쿨 졸업생입니다. 로스쿨 재학 시절에는 맨해튼에 있는 뉴욕주 지방 법원의 Gerald Lebovits 판사 밑에서 약 1년간 인턴으로 일했습니다. 판사 밑에서 인턴으로 근무하는 동안 10건 이상의 판결문 초안을 작성했으며, 그 중 일부는 판사의 가벼운 편집을 거쳐 Westlaw와 LexisNexis에 게재되었습니다. 또한, Cardozo의 명예 저널 중 하나인 Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal 의 편집 위원회에서 Articles Editor로 일했습니다.
김 변호사는 책 읽는 것과 피아노 클래식 음악 듣는 것을 좋아합니다. 사랑스러운 아내와 아들과 함께 현재 뉴저지의 한 타운에 살고 있습니다.
